The Railway Recruitment Cell of North Western Railway (RRC NWR, Jaipur) has issued a revised notification No. 04/2026 (NWR/AA) dated 21 October 2026 for 2008 Act Apprentice training slots across its divisions and workshops in Rajasthan. Online applications are open again from 23 October to 22 November 2026 (11:59 pm). There is no written exam: selection is on a merit list built from your Class 10 and ITI marks.
If you read older news saying the last date was 6 November, that was the original notice. The revised notification on rrcjaipur.in now gives 22 November 2026.

Division and unit-wise seats
You must choose only one unit. The revised notice gives trade-wise tables for each unit. The totals printed in those tables are:

Note: the unit tables in the PDF add up to more than the 2008 headline figure, and the notice says slot numbers are provisional. Treat the trade-wise table of your chosen unit as the figure that matters, and re-check it on rrcjaipur.in before you submit. Trades include Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Diesel Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, Carpenter, Painter, Turner/Machinist, Plumber, Mason, Refrigeration and AC, and COPA, but not every unit has every trade.
Eligibility
Education
- Class 10 (or equivalent under the 10+2 system) with at least 50% aggregate marks. No rounding off is done, so 49.9% is not eligible.
- National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade from NCVT or SCVT.
- Candidates still waiting for final results should not apply.
Age (as on 22 November 2026)
Completed 15 years and not completed 24 years. Relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10 years, and ex-servicemen as per rules. Confirm your exact age with the age calculator.

Selection process
The merit list is the simple average of your Class 10 percentage (all subjects counted) and your ITI marks in the trade. For example, 72% in Class 10 and 86% in ITI gives a merit score of 79%. If two candidates tie, the older candidate is placed higher; if the date of birth is also the same, the one who passed Class 10 first gets preference. Merit lists are made unit-wise, trade-wise and category-wise. Shortlisted candidates go through document verification and must bring a medical certificate (Annexure-IV) signed by a government doctor not below Assistant Surgeon rank. Stipend
The notice says stipend will be paid as per extant rules and Railway Board directives; it does not print an amount. No hostel is provided, so plan your stay near the chosen unit.
How to apply
- Go to rrcjaipur.in and open the revised notification for notice 04/2026.
- Use the online application link given there and register with your 12-digit Aadhaar number.
- Select one unit and a trade that has seats in that unit.
- Upload a colour photo (3.5 x 3.5 cm, 20-70 KB, JPG) and signature (3.5 x 2.5 cm, 20-30 KB, JPG).
- Pay Rs 100 online if applicable, submit and note your registration number.
Tips
Because there is no exam, the cut-off is decided only by marks. Pick a unit where your trade has more seats, enter marks exactly as on the certificates, and apply early because the site slows down in the last days.
