Eligibility
Qualification and experience (as on 30.09.2026)
- Associate Engineer Gr. II / III / IV: BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg.) in Civil, Mechanical, Welding/NDT, Electrical or Instrumentation with at least 60% marks. Minimum post-qualification experience in construction of refinery/petrochemical/fertiliser/power/nuclear plant projects: 5 years (Gr. II), 9 years (Gr. III) and 13 years (Gr. IV).
- Welding/NDT: Mechanical engineering degree (60%) plus ASNT or ISNT Level-II in RT/UT/DPT/MPT.
- Associate Officer Gr. II: One of three routes: graduate (Arts/Commerce/Science, 55%) + diploma in material management with 14 years’ experience; engineering diploma + diploma in material management with 13 years; or engineering degree + diploma in material management with 5 years.

These are consolidated monthly amounts that already include HRA and PF, so in-hand pay will be lower once PF and tax come out. During the foreign posting, EIL adds living allowance, R&R and other allowances as per company rules, plus medical insurance premium reimbursement (up to ₹2 lakh cover) and 2 days’ paid leave per month. Use the income tax calculator to estimate tax. The contract is for 2 years, extendable by 1 year, with a maximum of 3 years, and there is no claim to a regular EIL job afterwards.
Selection process
On interview day, EIL screens your application and original certificates. Only those found fully eligible go on to the personal interview. The interview date is sent by email at short notice, and interviews are held at EIL offices in Gurugram, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. You arrange your own travel and stay.

- Submit before 2 pm on 2 November 2026 and print 6 copies of the form for the interview.
- Carry originals: ID, date of birth proof, all mark sheets, experience certificates with joining/leaving dates, category certificate and NOC if you are in government service.
