The notification gives approximate gross pay (basic + DA) at the minimum of each level: about ₹71,840 for Level 7 posts, ₹34,720 for Technician/Draughtsman, ₹31,840 for Fireman, and ₹28,800 for drivers and MTS, plus HRA and transport allowance as per rules. ISRO staff come under NPS/UPS, so a pension contribution and other deductions will come out of this. Use the salary calculator for a rough in-hand estimate. Remember that most posts are at Sriharikota, a remote campus about 18 km from Sullurpeta, where ISRO offers housing and transport in place of HRA and transport allowance.

Who should apply, and a few tips
ITI holders in Fitter and Electronic Mechanic have the most seats (29 together), so this is a strong opening for them. Diploma holders in Mechanical have 7 Technical Assistant seats. MTS and Fireman have a tight age limit of 25, so older candidates should look at other post codes. The written test has negative marking, so practise trade theory MCQs and avoid blind guesses. Keep your original certificates ready, because they are checked at the skill test stage.
