Bugcrowd is a security platform that manages bug bounty and penetration testing programs for well-known companies. This is a 5-month contract position for an Application Security Engineer II who will triage and validate vulnerability reports from the researcher community.
What you will do
- Check each incoming submission for validity, correct severity and accurate details
- Reach out to researchers or client teams when more information is needed
- Raise and explain high-severity findings to clients quickly
- Test issues across websites, mobile apps, IoT devices and other targets
- Help create tooling that makes triage faster and more consistent
Who can apply
- A bachelor's degree or earlier security consulting experience
- Solid knowledge of OWASP Top Ten vulnerability types
- Strong Burp Suite skills and working use of nmap, sqlmap and Kali Linux tools
- Scripting ability in one language, good time management and clear communication
