How to use the Retirement Planning Calculator

  1. Enter your age, retirement age and life expectancy.
  2. Enter your current monthly expenses.
  3. Adjust inflation and return assumptions.
  4. See your target corpus and monthly SIP needed.

How the retirement corpus is calculated

  1. Your monthly expenses are increased by inflation until retirement.
  2. The corpus must fund those expenses, rising with inflation, for every year of retirement, while the remaining money earns the post-retirement return.
  3. Your existing savings grow until retirement, and the shortfall is covered by a monthly SIP.

EPF, PPF and NPS balances count towards your retirement savings.
