About the role
Databricks is the data and AI company behind the Lakehouse platform, used by more than 20,000 organisations. Forward Deployed Engineers work directly with customers to design and ship production data and AI solutions on Databricks.
What you will do
- Deliver production systems for customers, including reference architectures, custom apps, data ingestion and ML or AI model integration
- Lead architecture and design choices so solutions are secure and scalable
- Work closely with customer teams, from engineers to executives, to understand their problems
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineering and support to resolve issues fast
- Build reusable accelerators and frameworks and share product feedback
Who can apply
- 9+ years in data engineering, data platforms, analytics or software engineering
- Coding skills in Python, Scala or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Deep Apache Spark knowledge and experience with at least one of AWS, Azure or GCP
- Familiarity with CI/CD, MLOps and AI APIs, plus experience with enterprise clients; a Databricks certification is expected
