About the role
Jumio is an identity verification company that uses AI, liveness detection and biometrics to fight online fraud for banks, fintechs and other businesses. In this computer vision role you will own face recognition models from training to production on AWS, at a senior or staff level decided after interviews.
What you will do
- Build vision systems for face detection, quality checks, attributes and recognition
- Run fairness studies and benchmarks on biometric models
- Train models with PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX and run automated Airflow data pipelines
- Speed up inference with quantization, distillation, TensorRT or ONNX and deploy on AWS
- Review code and designs and guide other engineers in the team
Who can apply
- Strong industry experience in machine learning focused on biometrics or face analysis
- Expert Python skills with vision and ML libraries such as OpenCV and PyTorch
- Experience scaling training on multi-GPU clusters and deploying on SageMaker, EC2 or EKS
- Research papers, vector search (Faiss, Milvus) or edge deployment experience are a plus
