Coinbase protects billions of dollars in digital assets and is a constant target for skilled attackers. This specialist joins the Security Operations team and handles frontline incident response while building better detection and automation.
What you will do
- Handle second-line triage of security alerts and lead incidents through to closure
- Write runbooks for repeat scenarios and automate manual investigation steps
- Shape monitoring plans using lessons from attacker investigations
- Cover security monitoring and response for new Web3 product launches
- Mentor teammates and take part in a 24/7 on-call rotation across time zones
Who can apply
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations work, including incident response, alert triage and host and network forensics
- Experience finding detection gaps across cloud, SaaS and container logs
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash or similar to automate response work
- Good grasp of networking, Windows, Linux and macOS, plus experience with SIEM and threat intelligence tools
