About the role
Coinbase is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for its CX Intelligence team, which runs the multi-agent AI platform behind Coinbase chat, the Help Center and support agent tools. You will design the layer that coordinates vendor AI, internal agents and human support staff in one chatbot experience.
What you will do
- Build the orchestration layer that handles state, shared context and intent routing across LLM frameworks
- Write production Python services that turn ML research into reliable customer features
- Lead complex ML projects from design to delivery
- Set coding and AI/ML development standards and mentor engineers
- Review designs for security, scale and performance
Who can apply
- 5+ years in machine learning and software engineering with production ML services shipped at scale
- Hands-on work with LLMs and tools such as LangGraph, LangSmith, Google ADK, Vertex AI or AWS Bedrock
- Strong, well-tested Python code
- Knowledge of NLP, information retrieval, computer vision or advanced statistics
