About the role
GitLab builds a DevSecOps platform used by millions of developers and runs as an all-remote company. This India-based people leader will manage a small team that handles day-to-day benefits and compensation operations for GitLab's global workforce, turning global programme plans into reliable execution.
What you will do
- Lead and coach the local benefits and total rewards analysts, with clear goals, feedback and cover plans
- Prioritise benefits requests, compensation cycles, audits and urgent projects
- Oversee compensation data work such as market data, cycle preparation, system entries and equity grant checks
- Set up quality checks, escalation paths and confidentiality controls for sensitive pay and benefits data
- Work with People Technology on system changes, testing and data quality, using AI tools responsibly

- Proven people-management skills and the ability to coach a team
- Accurate work across many deadlines and stakeholders, plus clear written communication
