Senior Technical Content Development Engineer – Karat (Remote, India)

About the role
Karat's Interview Content team writes and tests the coding questions and scoring rubrics used in every Karat interview. This senior engineer will create the most difficult technical interview problems; it is not a production software role.

What you will do
- Design advanced coding exercises, debugging tasks and real-world engineering scenarios
- Write and test content and reference solutions in several programming languages
- Use AI-assisted coding tools to speed up content creation while keeping it accurate
- Lead peer reviews and fix underperforming questions using performance data
- Help set standards, templates and difficulty calibration for the team

Who can apply
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience after studies and internships
- Strong fundamentals in debugging, testing and code review
- Experience with AI coding tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor or Claude Code
- Strong written and spoken English and experience on remote global teams

Work from home details
Karat operates 100% remotely, but this opening is only for candidates living in Bengaluru. You need availability during US hours, which means night shift timing in India.
