About the role
Coinbase holds large amounts of digital currency, which makes security central to its business. The Security Platform Engineering team builds shared services for secrets and key management, identity and access, on-chain security, policy and vulnerability management.
What you will do
- Design and build new backend services in Go or Java for security use cases
- Create scalable systems on modern cloud infrastructure
- Write well-tested, high quality code and debug hard production issues
- Review feature designs for security, scale and reliability
- Mentor teammates and help turn the product vision into a quarterly roadmap
