About the role
Sophos provides 24x7 managed detection and response to businesses around the world. As an MDR Threat Analyst you will investigate and stop cyber threats while working closely with senior analysts.
What you will do
- Investigate escalated alerts across endpoint, network, cloud and identity systems
- Find root cause, scope and impact of attacks, including ransomware cases
- Deobfuscate suspicious scripts and malware and run threat hunts
- Correlate EDR, SIEM, cloud and identity logs and write clear findings for clients
- Help tune detections and improve response playbooks
Who can apply
- 3–5 years in a SOC, MDR, incident response or similar security operations role
- Hands-on with EDR and SIEM tools and with Windows and Linux investigations
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and Windows event logs; PowerShell or Python scripting is mandatory
- Certifications such as Security+, CySA+ or GCIH are a plus
Work from home details
This is a remote role in India. You will work on a rotating schedule that supports a 24x7x365 service, so night and weekend shifts can be part of the job.
