Formula
Monthly salary = Daily wage × working days. If you are paid per hour: Daily wage = Hourly rate × hours per day.
Example: ₹700 a day × 26 days = ₹18,200 a month, or ₹2,18,400 a year.
Compare with minimum wages
Every state notifies minimum wages for unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled workers, revised twice a year with dearness allowance. Check your state labour department website to make sure your daily wage is not below the minimum.
