Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform – Coinbase (Remote, India)

About the role
Coinbase runs one of the best-known crypto platforms in the world. Its Data Platform team centralises company data for analytics, machine learning and product features, and this senior engineer will work across storage, pipelines and internal data tools.

What you will do
- Build and run core data services such as the cloud warehouse, data lake, Airflow orchestration, Spark/SQL batch jobs and Kafka streaming
- Create and maintain SDKs that internal teams use to move and process data
- Design self-service tools so users can manage and debug their own pipelines
- Build services for data security, quality, observability, cataloguing and lineage
- Turn requests from analytics, ML and security teams into reusable patterns

Who can apply
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including senior-level ownership
- Strong backend skills in Python, Go or Java
- Hands-on experience with data systems or data pipelines, and working knowledge of SQL and Airflow
- Understanding of scale-out design, caching, key-value and columnar storage

Salary
The posting lists an annual base salary of ₹66,12,000 to ₹66,12,600, excluding equity and bonus.
