Product Security Engineer – Bugcrowd (Remote, India)

About the role
Bugcrowd is a security platform that combines AI with a global community of ethical hackers to help companies find and fix real-world risks. As a Product Security Engineer you work with engineering teams to make security a built-in part of everything Bugcrowd ships.

What you will do
- Review architecture and new features with engineers and guide security decisions
- Build secure defaults and shared libraries that remove whole classes of vulnerabilities
- Tune SAST, DAST, SCA and secret-scanning tools so alerts are useful and low-noise
- Use Bugcrowd's own bug bounty programme as a model and give feedback on new platform features
- Lead cross-team security projects and explain risk to technical and non-technical people

Who can apply
- 3+ years in product security, application security or secure software development
- Able to write code and automation in a language such as Python, Go, Ruby or Java
- Hands-on threat modelling, secure code review and knowledge of OWASP Top 10 issues
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience; cloud, Terraform and Kubernetes security experience is a plus
